A Billy the Kid western featuring Thomas Mitchell and Walter Huston as Pat Garrett and Doc Holliday, but became a international sensation for its censor-baiting advertising and emphasis on a sexy Jane Russell, making her film debut as Rio. The film has historical interest due to the involvement of producer/director Howard Hughes, but is actually a compelling and fun Western in its own right.
